NCR Interactive Teller and FTSI transform branch strategy

Monrovia, California – July 28, 2014 -- Visterra Credit Union has always had a vision for the future. Now with its investment in 15 NCR Interactive Teller units, Visterra is applying that strategic vision to their branches. The software-based technology from NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, enables a live teller to take remote control of the device while engaging with members over two way video. Members are able to conduct up to 95 percent of typical teller transactions while face-to-face with one of their Visterera tellers, capabilities that go far beyond what can be done at a traditional ATM.

Visterra Credit Union worked closely with branch transformation specialists from both NCR and business partner FTSI to develop a strategy to help them reduce their overhead costs and staff more efficiently. This visionary plan includes deploying 15 ITMs throughout Visterra’s five branches in Moreno Valley, Corona, Riverside and Murrieta.

“This new banking technology allows members to experience the personal interaction of speaking with a teller and the convenience of using an ATM,” said Susan Napier, President/CEO of FTSI. “Visterra Credit Union has demonstrated that they are a technology leader and have a true vision for a profitable and sustainable future.”

Visterra Credit Union will be deploying three drive-up and four lobby Interactive Teller units in their main branch in Moreno Valley. Each of the credit union’s other four branches will have two Interactive Teller machines in the lobby. The installations are beginning in May 2014 and will be completed by early 2015.
